STEVEN MASON PRESS CONFERENCE
As most of you remember Steven Mason was indicted by a GJ in March of this year for MURDER for the death of Kelei Morris ….. Both Kelei and the defendant Mason were employed at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.
This indictment was the result of over 2 years of hard work, dedication and investigation by the Mobile Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office.
Steven Mason has NOT made this bond and has been housed at the Metro Jail since his arrest on MARCH 20, 2017.
In JUNE a Grand Jury returned THREE SEPARATE and NEW indictments against STEVEN MASON. for 3 different charges of SOLICITATION TO COMMIT MURDER.
Steven Mason’s bond on the murder was revoked after this indictment in June and he is being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail on a NO bond.
TODAY ….. we are announcing that on FRIDAY AUGUST 25, 2017 … a grand jury in Mobile County has indicted Steven Mason and Jeremy Luper on a 3 count indictment of CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER.

This new charge of CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT MURDER IS A Class A felony. This is a separate charge and incident from the charges previously indicted of SOLICITATION TO COMMIT MURDER.

Difference Between CONSPIRACY to commit Murder and SOLICITATION TO COMMIT MURDER explain….
In a case of Conspiracy (13A-4-3)… person agrees with another person to perform conduct and any one or more of them does an OVERT act towards effecting the agreement of the conduct.
In Solicitation (13A-4-1) ….. a person solicits or request another person to engage in such conduct … but there is NO overt act toward effecting the agreement made or required
