Project Identify, Arrest and Prosecute Abuse (ID Abuse) is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence against Women. ID Abuse identifies domestic violence perpetrators, tracks their criminal histories, provides the shelters, law enforcement and prosecutors with the framework and training to share significant data to apply consistent arrest, investigation and prosecution standards. The system is utilized by domestic violence shelters serving 20 counties in Southern Alabama (including the Poarch Creek Band of Creek Indians), law enforcement agencies and prosecutors that service these victims.
