Congratulations to Trooper Johnathan Harris for being recognized as Officer of the Month for the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office. Trooper Harris has been in law enforcement for 3 years and is currently assigned to the Mobile Post, Highway Patrol Division as a Senior Trooper. Although law enforcement was not his initial career path, he has always had a passion for helping others. Before becoming a Trooper, he worked in public safety for 10 years as a firefighter and an EMT. When asked what enjoyed most about being in law enforcement Trooper Harris replied,
“I greatly enjoy helping those in need and assisting in keeping Mobile County motorist safe, but my favorite part of my job is putting on my campaign hat and driving that blue and silver car. My advice to anyone interested in law enforcement is to ask yourself honestly am I truly willing to serve the members of my community unconditionally? Am I willing to risk my life each day for a complete stranger? And can I continue to push myself past limits I felt were once impossible? If you can honestly answer yes to those questions, then let no obstacle stand in your way to fulfilling your goal. This is a great career that needs greater hearted individuals.”
When Trooper Harris is not keeping our roadways safe he enjoys exercising and spending time with his friends and family. Thank you, Trooper Harris and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, for all that you do for our community!
