Last Month ADA CheLea Tisdale and ADA Cleveland Patterson protested the parole of various inmates. Many of these individuals committed violent crimes and our office believes that are still a danger to the community.
Wesley Marshall
GRANTED
Wesley Laws Marshall and two other defendants entered a NT video and proceeded to viciously attack the clerk on duty. The defendants were armed with knives and brutally beat the victim with their fists while stabbing him repeatedly with their weapons. The defendants stole $750 from the register and left the victim for dead with a knife protruding from his skull. Miraculously, the victim survived and was able to identify his assailants. Marshal was convicted by a jury of Robbery 1st and Attempted Murder in 1998. He has only served 20 years and 8 months of his 99 year sentence. The parole board decided to grant his petition for parole and he will be released to a rehabilitation center in Brewton, AL.
Antonio Santell Kidd
DENIED
Antonio Kidd entered a blind plea to manslaughter in 2012 after causing the death of Michael Hunter. He was sentenced to 20 years and has served over 6 years of his sentence. The victim and the defendant were engaged in a verbal altercation which ultimately led the defendant to shoot the victim in the chest. The victim’s parents were in attendance for the parole hearing in opposition of his release. Parole was DENIED.
Rashaad Darnell Taylor
DENIED
Rashaad Taylor pled guilty to robbery 1st degree and was sentenced to 25 years. The defendant and another accomplice threatened the 2 victims at gun point while forcing them to hand over money, keys, and other personal items. The defendants the proceeded to steal one of the victim’s vehicle. Rashaad’s petition for parole was DENIED.
Reginald Toney
GRANTED
Reginald Toney entered a guilty plea to Rape 1st in 2001. The defendant forced a 12 year old girl to engage in sexual intercourse with him. The defendant was sentenced to 15 years and will be paroled to a transitional house in Mobile, AL.
Pete Antwon Dubose
GRANTED
Pete Dubose pled guilty to two counts of robbery first and was sentenced to served 15 years straight concurrent in 2007. The defendant robbed two gas stations on the same day and was caught on surveillance cameras committing the acts. Dubose will be paroled to the Daily Reporting Center in Mobile, Alabama.
