Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This day serves as a call to action for individuals, organizations, and communities to bring attention to the issue of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Here at the Mobile County District Attorney’s office, we have a wonderful team of victim service officers who are dedicated to helping victims and educating the public. In this video, they will talk about different examples of elder abuse and the red flags you can look out for. Let’s all do our part to educate our friends and family as well as prevent and report elder abuse.
Elder abuse not only affects citizens in Mobile County but also hurts Alabamians across the state. If you know or suspect Elder abuse there are several ways you can reach out for help.
